Bio
Alexander Halakan, residing in upstate New York, has transformed his impressions of nature into an imaginative experience in oils and pastels. Halakan's painterly style incorporates distinctive brush strokes, use of the pallet knife, and mark making, accompanied by a distinguishable blending of color.
An award-winning artist, Halakan most recently received the Grand Prize Award in the 67th Cooperstown National Juried Exhibition. His work has appeared in numerous international, national, and regional juried exhibitions. Halakan is represented by the Bertoni Gallery in Sugar Loaf, New York; the Morningside Gallery in Latham, New York; and Departure - The Shop of the Capital Region Museums, in Albany, New York.
